Happy Wednesday, all!  Today finds me working on a set of cards a friend asked me to make for her.

I tell ya, I don’t know what I’d do if I couldn’t immerse myself into something creative.  It’s so therapeutic during rough times.  I’m very thankful for the opportunity to make crafty stuff!

So, without further ado, here is today’s desk.

(Click on the photo for a larger version.  The little square with an arrow will make it go even bigger.)

Lots of inky happiness, a few gems, some bits of ribbon.  The usual suspects.

Oh, but speaking of ribbon, I won one of the runner up prizes for the May Arts ribbon Vintage Valentine challenge!  🙂 Many thanks to those who voted for my project.

This is what I made. (You can go here to find my tutorial on how to make your own.)

I’m really happy with my little pillow, and I know I’m going to get a lot of use out of the spool of ribbon they’re sending as a prize. (I choose 1.25″ wide white silk ribbon, as I can color it to go with any project.)

You can go here to see all the winners, or here to see all the entries.

If you have a few minutes to spare, you can go here to check out the workdesks of other creative people from all over.  Why do we do this?  Cuz Julia says, and it’s What’s on Your Workdesk Wednesday!

Have a Happy Wednesday, all!

P.S.  Some of you were wanting to see the final results of the purple coat makeover.

    1. Hi Sarpreet, This ink storage case is one of Tim’s older ones and is no longer available. Occasionally I see them on clearance, you might try eBay or Etsy. Tim has a new line of storage cases out which look way cool. you might check those out, too.

  5. Good morning; just having a quick pop my head round the door moment, before I have to get on with all my chores! Lovely to see what you are up to this week.

  11. A lovely inky desk it is! I love the wee stamp blocks you’ve used for the ink applicator thingies.
Great job with the coat too – I really would like to get into sewing so as I could do things like that. Some day I’ll make a start at it.

Thanks for stopping by my blog!

    1. Hi Sheena, I had my husband make the stamp block things for me instead of using ink applicators with handles. I loved storing them on a spinner, but just don’t the desk space to have one for every color. This way they all fit in one small tray.

  12. Yup I agree, craftiness saves the soul, and perhaps the odd marriage too!! I need an hour of quiet time when I get in from work. Lovely pillow and a busy desk, the purple coat is amazing too. Wish I could sew!

  13. I’m loving all of the inks on your desk! And your purple coat looks fabulous!

Thank you for your lovely comment. There are actually oreos inside those brownies, and underneath the oreos is a layer of chocolate chip cookie dough! I’ll have a post tomorrow with the recipe 🙂

    Happy WOYWW! Katie #12

  14. Love your TH ink pad storage …lots going on there on your desk. You cushion is beautiful.

Had to smile over your comment re 100 off but actually only 50 …I’d be so pleased with 50. I know that 1-2 lbs a week means it will stay off longer but it seems so much work for so little reward.

  15. Beautiful little pillow and your purple coat makeover is fab. I remember re-cutting a camel coat and making a mini skirt – it was very trendy at the time (must be about 45 years ago!

  16. Sorry you needed the theraputic time but glad you got it that looks like one fun inky desk and congrats on the runner up prize!! Happy woyww #54!
