Summer’s Green & Gold Bracelet Video Tutorial

summer's green

When I was trying to think of a name for this bracelet, what popped into my mind was what I thought was the beginning of a poem, something about summer and green and gold. (Have you noticed that I’ve been trying to be more lyrical in my project names lately?)

Naturally, I turned to the Google machine for help, and naturally, found I was way off. Here’s the Robert Frost poem I’d been thinking of:

Nature’s first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leafs a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.

A beautiful poem, but after all that, I’m still sticking with “Summer’s Green & Gold” for the bracelet. 🙂

In the video I give some tips for designing with chunky/irregular shaped beads. I love the combination of the different shades of green with all the bright gold filled beads and findings. It really does make me think of a day in early summer.

    1. I’m not sure I know what you are asking, Tomi. You had to be at my blog to post this comment. (??)

      If you followed a link that was just to this single post, go ahead and click on “Keepsake Crafts” on the left side of the header above. That will load the entire blog.
