ff split ring loop

Here’s another very basic technique for holding together your jewelry. It’s quicker than wrapped loops and more secure than simple loops.

All you need to make these double, or split ring, loops is a pair of Round Nose Pliers and some Wire Cutters.

It’s not something I use very often because I prefer the less bulky look of a single loop, but I’m sure there are times when it could be handy. 🙂

  1. I’ve done this a few times, not knowing what to call them, but when I made my first piece of jewelry I was very worried about my pieces staying on the jewelry I made. I couldn’t make the wrapped loop look right, I just didn’t know how, This validates my ignorance, and now that I know what I’m doing I can make these split ring loops just because I want to, and be confident that it’s the right thing for certain pieces!
You’re a real encouragement, Thank You!
