Happy first What’s on Your Workdesk Wednesday of 2015!

2015 01 06 woyw jungle baby quilt

Today’s desk shows a baby quilt I’m working on for an upcoming shower.

The pattern is Baby Bow Ties from Sweet and Simple Baby Quilts. I love this book because all the patterns are indeed, sweet and simple. Plus, their cutting charts make cutting quick and foolproof.

Isn’t that jungle print the cutest? And the prairie point edge is a nice touch.

I hope you’re having a wonderful start to your new year! I don’t make resolutions, but I have issued myself a couple challenges. Check back tomorrow to see the results of one, I think you’ll like it. 🙂

If you have a few minutes to take a break, be sure to check out the busyness on the desks of other creative folks from all around the world. We link up over at Julia’s every Wednesday to do just that.

Happy creating!

  1. Happy New Year Sandy! Love the quilt, wonderful design. I have made a lot of baby quilts in my time..now I just embellish babygrows, as the quilt making is too much for the quantity of babies that my friends and family produce 🙂 Cx #66

  2. Oh that design is so lovely, the quilt will be gorgeous! I don’t do tricky designs, just not patient enough 🙂

    1. Looks like a beautiful quilt is on the way! Never tried quilting myself, but my step-mother in law ( whhat a word…) has done some. Lots of work, but I guess hobbies are supposed to take time and effort, what would they be worth if they didn’t!

  3. I love the design of the quilt – so pretty and I’m sure it can’t be as simple as you say – it will look amazing with that jungle fabric. Thanks so much for stopping by my desk earlier and I very much appreciate your tip on using tape with the hooks and eyes, I shall try it next time. Hope you have a great week,

  4. Oh that quilt is going to look very special in that fabric. Do let us see the finished product!
I have quilt making on my list of things I’d like to do (together with ATCs) So far I’m learning to get messy and have started an art journal this week…. One thing at a time I say.
    Have a great week,

  5. Gorgeous pattern, simple is the way to go and yet it still looks very detailed. A sign of a great pattern.

  6. I always admire people who quilt… I never did that and it looks fabulous (but with all the creative ideas I have using paper, I don’t think I ever find time to ad quilting to that list…) Happy New Year, happy woyww and a hug from Holland, Marit #40

  7. Next time I have a baby, you’re invited to the shower!!! Beautiful quilt – I love the print and the lovely soft blues..a real heirloom type gift Sandy. I love the way you just casually pick up and start these amazing projects!

  8. I can’t imagine any quilt being “easy.” It will look great with the wonderful animal prints you’ve selected.

I’m having a giveaway so stop by if you are interested.
    Happy belated WOYWW
    Hugs Kay (61)
