Who says rustic and organic surface effects can’t be sparkly and shiny, too?
This technique can be a bit messy, but the results are oh-so worth it.
In the video I demonstrate creating the heart shape as a base for the effect, but you can apply this rustic opal look to anything that can be baked at polymer clay temperatures.
In fact, how about using it to rescue pieces that got burned, discolored, or just didn’t turn out the way you wanted?
Tools and Materials:
- Clay for base of heart
- Premo Opal clay
- Pasta machine
- Bent needle tool
- Alcohol inks
- Clay blade
- Rubbing alcohol
- Dropper or pipette
- Ranger craft scrubbie
Enjoy the video, happy creating!
