I first saw this beautiful technique on Tim Holtz’s DVD, An Altered Journey and made this photo frame.
Ever since then I’ve been really, really wanting to show you all how it’s done. This past week I finally put together a video making this blue frame. (Actually, it’s a series of three videos.)
I just love all the texture you get. And I love that you can use any shapes or words you desire.
The possibilities are endless!
Thank you to Tim for his kind and generous permission for me to share my own take on his original idea. He did a similar but slightly different version on his day 10. You’ll find lots more of his genius and generosity with ideas at his website http://www.timholtz.com.

I loved your final project. Very beautiful. I was happy to see that this was still on your blog, since I’m new to your channel. I have never played with ink’s before. I have a lot of wood projects, and this would be a new addition to my creations. 🙂 🙂 🙂 It was also very nice you had alllll the links for each product used attached to amazon. I have a list to purchase now, and will over time (crafting while on a budget). Great possibilities

Happy creating, Shana! It’s good to know folks are still benefiting from my older posts. 🙂
It’s amazing to see what you’ve done, created. I see you’ve been doing this for so many years. That is love of creating 🙂 🙂 🙂 and sharing. 🙂 🙂 🙂
