We’re still time traveling in 1988.  Another simple layout that focuses on the photos, with just a few Jolee’s stickers to accent.

The title was made with the Vintage Market Sizzlits Decorate Strip Die, and Vintage Photo Distress ink was used on the paper edges.

The woman in the top photo was my mother-in-law.  (I couldn’t have asked for a nicer one.)  Sadly, she passed away in 2005 and is still very much missed.

Here’s the journaling:

Calvary Baptist Church often had themed fellowship dinners.  For this western night Gary & I made the cactus by painting a sheet of foam with green spray paint, wrapping it around one of the poles in the hall and then sticking in toothpicks for the needles.

Gary also built the chuckwagon around the existing opening into the kitchen.

Rose Hathon led the “Western Night Band” which included Gary & Ray Langley on the guitar, Otie on the banjo, pastor on the piano and even a washboard & washtub bass.

Although a little silly, it was always fun to dress up in costume and gather with our church family for a meal.
