Simple Creative Ways to Sculpt with Mixed Media Materials

If you’ve ever wanted to create a mixed media sculpture that truly reflects you, your style, your instincts, your artistic quirks, this new video is going to walk you through the exact process I use to make that happen.

In this class, I’m sharing a simple sequence of steps that helps you loosen up, follow your curiosity, and build a sculpture that’s expressive, personal, and completely unplanned in the best way. We’ll start by gathering an eclectic mix of oven-safe bits and pieces: beads, stones, buttons, cabochons, charms, and anything else that sparks inspiration in the moment.

From there, I’ll show you how to shape a polymer clay base, add intuitive textures, play with color, and begin arranging your mixed media elements without overthinking or pre-planning. The real magic comes in the middle of the process, when you stop trying to “design” and just let your hands explore, experimenting, testing, shifting pieces around, and slowly discovering what the sculpture wants to become.

You’ll also learn simple, reliable ways to anchor your mixed media securely, plus techniques for sculpting petals, leaves, scrolls, vines, and other little details that pull everything together.
