Happy What’s on Your Workdesk Wednesday once again. Sorry I didn’t participate last week but I couldn’t show my desk as it was full of a project that is going to be published in a magazine some time next year.
(Looking serene on the outside, but whooping it up on the inside ’bout that!) 😀
This week’s desk shows me working on the August Tim Holtz tag. As always, piles of products are in use, including Distress inks, Distress Stains, Tissue Tapes, Sprocket Gears, Filmstrip Ribbon, and Distress Paints.
The stamp set I used is the Inkadinkado Cattitude Clear Stamp set as I decided to make a sort of tribute to our Miss Molly cat who died this past spring. 🙁
After adding all the TH stuff it seemed to need something more, so I made a few polymer clay pieces. The fish and the paw print are from a Sculpey push mold. The mice are just teardrop shapes with tails and ears.
The crown, of course, was absolutely necessary as she was totally in charge and ruled the three boy cats with an iron paw. She even thought she could boss around the humans, lol. (Not surprisingly, none of the other cats seem to miss her tyrannical self. We do, though.)
Hope you all are having a creative week. I’m off to make several quarts of pickles with the MANY pounds of cucumbers hubby has grown in his garden. Pretty soon I’ll be making tomato sauce by the gallon. 🙂
If you’d like to see what other crafty folks have on their workdesks, be sure to join in the fun over at Julia’s.
Happy creating!
Such a pretty tag you’ve made there looks like your having a blast creating then happy woyww hugs Nikki no # yet
Thanks for stopping by, Nikki!
Fabulous version of TH tag, Sandy. Making pickles and sauce, you sure to do have a ‘fruitful’ garden…we love the home made stuff. Happy WOYWW and enjoy your week RobynO#39
My husband took over the garden this year, much to my relief. He’s far more diligent about it than I’ve ever been. 🙂
Lovely tag, love the colours. And your desk look yummy – it’s giving me crafting urges, if I would see it in real life I’d have to fight the urge to just pull up a chair and start crafting with whatever’s there! Hmmm do you think “they” added an addictive scent in inks and paints that make us want to craft when we smell (or see) it?
Debbie/Daqa #52
It would be lovely if you were here to pull up a chair, Debbie. I’d pour you a glass, or mug, of whatever you wanted and we’d have a grand ol’ time. 🙂
As there is no one in my area that I know of that likes stamping (and likes this style) I’d love to.
Argh and I forgot to congratulate you on the item in the magazine! I can only imagine how you feel… and not being allowed to say more is even increasing the tension – I can almost feel the excitement jumping up and down.
Yup, you’re right, just about jumping up and down. 😀
Wow, that’s a jam-packed post! CONGRATS on your upcoming magazine article! I can’t wait to see that!!
I love the tag–it’s probably my new favorite–but I’m so sorry to hear about Miss Molly. That’s hard, I know.
And I am so jealous to hear about your cucumbers and tomatoes. I haven’t been able to grow either well. 😛
Great post! Keep ’em coming.
Ah, but you’ve got all that blackberry wine for consolation. 🙂
Thanks for the congrats and the sympathy. Such is life, ups & downs.
Ooooh loving that tag!! Clever you making little clay bits to go on it – really must start doing more of that kind of stuff. Congrats on getting published – you should be whoop whooping about that!! Happy WOYWW Cindy #57
Thanks, Cindy!
Congrats on the publishing…you must be so excited and thrilled ;D
Great tag. The cat reminds me of one from long ago but I can’t remember where. It was in a childhood book I think which is far to long ago to remember for an auld gal like me.
Happy WOYWW

Thank, Nessie! Yes, the stamp reminded me of something that I can’t quite recall. Probably explains why I was drawn to the set.
I bet you’re whooping on the inside, who wouldn’t! Love your Tim tag… it’s gorgeous. Helen 3
OMG this tag is soooo coool! Nice to hear that your great work is going to be published!!
