Happy Wednesday everyone!  I haven’t participated in Woyww for a few weeks as I’ve been working on the church curtains. Thankfully those are all done, hanging and look great, so now I can get back to other projects.

(Photos of the curtains to follow soon, I promise!)

This week I have TWO workdesks for you. The first shows I’ve gotten back to polymer clay. The pink, blue & white circles are for a project that will have to be revealed after next week, as it’s a gift for someone who occasionally reads this blog.

Here’s a close up of some of the clay canes I’ve been working on from a class on CraftArtEdu, Doodle Me Do Canes and Bangles with Nikolina Otrzan.

After working through all these very graphic, linear designs I have concluded that I much prefer more organic shapes. The designs are rather cool, but just not me, ya know?

That’s ok, I learned  a lot from the class, so that was the point.

My other “workdesk” is the photography area where I shoot jewelry tutorial videos and take still photos.  In case you’ve wondered why I can’t seem to keep the occasional cat hair out the the shots, well…..

….this may explain it.

Quite pleased with himself, eh? But he’s so cute I just can’t get mad at him. 🙂

If you’re wondering why I’m sharing pics of my workspaces, it’s because it’s What’s on Your Workdesk Wednesday. Check out the blog link party fun over at Julia’s.

Happy creating!

  1. Wow! You do the COOLEST stuff. The linear designs are nice for a change of pace, even though I prefer organics, too. And we all know that cats love boxes, right? 😉

    1. Hi Gillian,

Yes, I like that purple one, too. Just don’t tell anybody that all those lines are supposed to be perfectly straight. lol

  2. Oh that’s brilliant. Cats just don’t get it, do they? But I agree, how can you be mad at him? I’m glad to see you getting back to polymer. It does seem to be an addiction that you can’t shake. A good addiction!

  3. Wish I had a photo area I could leave set up- must work on that- thanks for the inspiration. The cane drawings look like pentangles!
    Thanks for the snoop

  5. well, obviously he think’s he is a way better model than just plain old baubles you know 🙂 I am laughing, ( for me it’s dog hair ) but, same difference always underfoot. Stacy #72

  6. I think your cat knows exactly what he’s doing. He knows that you spend time looking into this space so if he gets up there you will look at him. My dogs do the same thing. My girl dog will often lay in exactly the place where I stand when I am crafting. Anyone who thinks they don’t know what’s going on doesn’t know animals very well.
Have a great week and happy crafting, Angela x #41

  7. Hi Sandy Happy WOYWW – great desk and very interesting clay work. Love that puss is helping your photography…they just want to be close don’t they. Cheers and have a great week RobynO#28

  8. Loving the Polymer Clay work – might have to check out that course as it looks right up my street 🙂

  9. Thank you for visiting me, Sandy! Wonderful clay projects! Black and white is a striking combination. But the cutie steals the show, as they always seem to do! I love how he looks so comfortably posed!
    Happy WOYWW!

  10. Great work on your desk, Sandy. Have been having a peek round – and see your description of the 90yards of fabric. That green fabric is beautiful. I’m sure the drapes will look stunning. Must remember to come look at the shots when they are hung!
    Take care.
    God bless.
