This necklace design is different from your usual chain and pendant.
In fact, to be honest, when I finished with it, I wasn’t quite sure that I even liked it!
But then I tried it on, and that made all the difference. Suddenly, in spite of the smallish pendant, it felt like a piece with lot of presence.
It sort of makes me think of the bib style necklaces that are popular these days.
It’s also interesting that the shapes change as you change the length at which you wear it. Lots of interesting options to pursue!

- Bead cone (the one I used is 7 x 12mm)
- 2 2-hole spacer bars (the ones I used have holes 22mm apart)
- 10mm Czech glass tabular square beads-Opaque Turquoise with Travertine
- 4mm Czech glass fire polish beads-Chartreuse Nebulous Luster
- 4mm Czech glass fire polish beads-Turquoise Brown Travertine

I think it takes courage to push yourself to make a piece that you’re not even sure you like! That’s how you prevent ruts. As it turned out, I’m glad you decided you like it, because I love everything about it–the individual components, the design, the textures and colors, and especially the dragonfly. 🙂
To be honest, I thought I would like it as I was making it, then turned off the camera & photographed it and wasn’t so sure. But then I tried it on, and decided I did like it, lol. Not one of my personal favorites ever, but lots of viewers seem to love the design, so that’s all that matters, right? 😀
