Welcome to another What’s on Your Workdesk Wednesday everyone!
On my workdesk today are two major projects. The first one, as is common on these What’s on Your Workdesk Wednesdays, is that I am working on Thursday’s dragon. There are bits and pieces of that project on the white tile, but the dragons are not in evidence because I wouldn’t want to spoil the surprise. Check back on Thursday for the results. 🙂
The other project you can see is a new bead spinner and some seed beads. This is a hint as to an upcoming jewelry making video. I haven’t tried one of these before. They do get mixed reviews but I’ll let you know what I think once I’ve had a chance to play with it.
So that’s all I’ve got going on this Wednesday. Join us over at Julia’s for a fun desk hop all around the world.
Ooh LLJ loves her bead spinner…it is an amazing tool, love the idea of beading under centrifugal force! The mosaic pieces are lovely….am a bit excited about the dragon, I figure if you’re hiding, it’s because it’s stunning!
Well, I don’t know about stunning. I’ll leave that for ya’ll to decide. 🙂
OOOOW interesting things on your desk this week Sandy…have fun Cheers RobynO#11
Thanks for stopping by, Robyn!
I don’t know much about beadwork but I’m intrigued. I’ll be back on Thursday to see that dragon. Have fun. Barb#16 xx
Thanks for the visit, Barb!
Okay, I can’t wait to see this bead spinner in action!
I got to play with it a bit last night and it’s interesting. This morning I ordered a slightly different version from Amazon so I’ll do a comparison at some point.
Look forward to seeing the dragon and the bead spinner spinning, never seen one before.
Have a great woyww and happy crafting, Angela x30
I’ll be interested on your review of the spinner. My sister makes jewellery but doesn’t have a spinner. I wonder if it would help her as she has trouble gripping things with her fingers – she has MS. Have a great week. Elizabeth x #36
Hi Elizabeth,
I’ve had a chance to play with it and I’m not sure if she would be able to use it. You do have to grip onto the needle and keep it positioned properly in the bowl of beads in order for it to work.
I found it a bit of a pain to use, but they all say you need a bit of practice to get it down.
Hope this helps! I’ll give a more complete review later.
Will have to pop back to find out about the dragon. – just thought – if I check todays blog I would see the dragons and I did!! They are stunning – will tell Wipso cos she loves dragons. x jo
That all looks very interesting! I have no idea what a bead spinner is but I bet it’s clever!
Happy belated WOYWW,
