
There’s something magical about bird’s nests—their delicate construction, crafted from twigs and found treasures, showcases creation‘s quiet brilliance. And nestled inside, the eggs bring their own simple elegance.

In this tutorial, I’ll show you how to recreate that same charm in a handmade wire-wrapped bird’s nest pendant, complete with bead eggs. It’s a quick and fun jewelry project that captures a bit of nature’s beauty in a piece you can wear.
You’ll also learn a handy trick for attaching a necklace chain, so you can complete your piece in about 30 minutes from start to finish!

Tools & Materials:
- Ring mandrel
- Chain nose pliers
- Bent chain nose pliers
- Round nose pliers
- Wire cutters
- 7” or more pre-made beaded chain*
- 45” 20 gauge wire (54” if making two wrapped loops)
- 10” 26 gauge wire (both wires should be a similar color)
- 6-8mm beads for eggs, 5-8
- 1”-2” long bead or charm
- Necklace chain
- Jump rings
- Clasp
- Awl
- Screw punch or hole punch pliers
* If you don’t have premade beaded chain, you can use wire, beads, and the One Step Looper tool to make your own.
