For years I used only UV resin, and only cured it in the sun.
This, of course, was quite frugal of me, but could be rather inconvenient when working at night or on a rainy day!
I finally invested in a UV lamp to cure my resin indoors, whenever I need to.
It’s intended to cure UV gel nail polishes, but it works great for Magic Glos or other UV resins.
**** This will NOT cure 2 part resins, only those labeled as UV *****

Okay, it’s great that the light turned out to be convenient and effective despite the sticking tray but I think the real reason you bought it was to have another cool toy to play with. That would be my reason, at least. 😀
Haha, you’ve got me there!
