Yes, there are LOADS of texture sheets, stamps, rollers and tools available to those of us who like to play with polymer clay. (And then there are all the everyday objects that can be used for texture.)
But have you ever thought of making your own texture sheets?
In this video you’ll learn several different ways to use a clay extruder to make patterned texture sheets for impressions in any kind of clay.
The benefit of using extruded clay is that you have consistent sizes and shapes built right in. You can go from there to make them as personalized as you like.
Don’t forget that you can also use silicone molding putty to make reverse impressions of your textures, getting two-for-one!
Tools & Materials:
- extruder & dies
- scrap polymer clay
- acrylic roller or pasta machine
- clay blade
- liquid clay
- ceramic tiles
