Happy What’s on Your Workdesk Wednesday everyone and yay Patriots!
(In case you’re wondering who the Patriots are, they’re an American football team who just won the championship. I apologize for all of America that they call themselves world champs. I don’t understand it either.)
Anyhow, on to my desk this week. Today I’m working on a couple of copper bangle bracelets that will be in an upcoming video tutorial. I wore them both for a day after making the video and figured out several things that I want to change and redo.
And so out came the wire cutters. I’m much happier with them now.
In the top left is my recipe for seven-layer dip that we had for Super Bowl snacks. In the upper right is Jennifer Lee’s second book, Building Your Business the Right-Brain Way. I went through her first book, The Right-Brain Business Plan, a few years ago, and it really has helped me find focus and direction in my business. It was time to refine my business plan, so I’m working through book #2 now.
In other news, I’m now officially a teacher at CraftArtEdu.com!
My first class is FREE and teaches you how to turn any polymer clay piece, baked or unbaked, in a charm that you can use in jewelry or other crafts. It’s called, simply enough Making Polymer Clay Charms.
If you click on this link to CraftArtEdu’s newsletter, you’ll find a link for 25% off any of their other classes.
So, that’s all I’ve got today. If you want to see the desks of other creative people from all over the world, check out our weekly blog link party at Julia’s. You never know what you might learn!
Happy creating 🙂

Haha, I hadn’t realised the yummy snacks were key charms! (That’s how good they are!) I thought those were the superbowl snacks. It wasn’t until I read some comments that it clicked….
Congratulations on becoming a teacher and having your own course. I hope it is very succesful.
Have a good week, hope the weather isn’t too bad,
Lisca#41
Yeah, your food pieces are too realistic. They make me hungry! And congratulations on your teaching position! Your videos are great.
Thank you, Robin!
Your charms are AMAZING!!!!!!!!
Seriously. Those are amazing.
I’m going to show the girl child your link, she’s quite good at the polymer clay thing–I’m terrible at it!

Congrats on your appointment! I’ve watched your video – you have a very calm and clear voice – perfect for teaching! Thanks for the tips! I’ve also subscribed on Facebook. Love your clay dragons! Happy WOYWW! zsuzsa @ InkyDinkyDoodle #34
Thanks so much, Zsuzsa. I’ve been told that about my voice before and had thought to get into reading audio books, but it’s for more difficult to break into than you’d think. So I’ll just keep teaching creativity. 🙂
I thought those charms were real food, till I saw the eyelet thing in it! Best of luck with your classes. I will pop on over. I too want to start running on line stuff. I do in person classes and have done for 16 or more years.
Hi Belinda,
I love the idea of teaching online because for the same amount of prep you can reach hundreds, if not thousands of times more people. All with the same about of work!
Those charms are fabulous – when I first landed on your page I actually thought it was food!
Congratulations on the teaching website! 🙂
Carmen x #53
That’s quite a compliment, thanks, Carmen!
I cannot abide by charms that look like food! I totally want to eat them. And strangely enough I’m craving pizza now. They are fun though. I really like your tool stand–just perfect for what you need. Judy #79
OMGosh! I would be in so much trouble with those yummy looking food charms! LOL! Every time I would look at them I am most certain my mouth would water…and I would have a sudden urge for a chocolate chip cookie or a slice of pizza! LOL!
Hugs,

I don’t know if I would pick the cookie or the piece of chocolate… Both have me wondering if I should go snooping in our kitchen cupboards! Good luck with your teaching, happy WOYWW! Kristiina #27
Yeah, they make my hungry, too. 🙂
Thanks, everyone, for the nice comments about the charms and my class.
Just so you know, I’m teaching how to turn clay pieces into charms, not how to shape the pizza & the cookie. However, my upcoming class will show you how to make several mini chocolates, so stay tuned!
Hi Sandy, happy WOYWW and thanks for visiting me. Your charms are certainly very life like and congrats on the teaching job. Have fun Cheers RobynO#20
Kudos to anyone who can create jewelry of any sort. Adorable little charms you have there. 🙂
Those charms are awesome! No idea of scale though? So realistic looking too!
Thanks for stopping by!
