I’ve been working my way through Lindly Haunani and Maggie Maggio’s book Polymer Clay Color Inspirations
The Varathane on the left was purchase with much hope that it will solve my problems with finishes on my clay pieces. More than one sculpture has been ruined by the Sculpey Satin glaze going all glossy on me. Grrrrr…… (Hubby tells me that if I don’t like it he has uses for it, so that’s good!)
I finally picked up some Distress Markers. But didja know that Michaels is selling packs of five for $18 when A.C. Moore has them singly for $3 each? Boo, hiss, Michael’s. (Although, it is easier to use a 50% coupon on the five-pack, rather than running through the register five times, which I have been known to do, ha!)
Now that I’m used to it I’m really liking the brighter green mat, probably because it’s, well, brighter. 😀 (It’s also clean, unstained and not warped.)

Haha, silly me. You mentioned Spike hopping down to get a better look, so I thought the pile of fur in the upper right was him. (In my defense, your photo wasn’t embiggenable today, and my eyes aren’t too great lately!)
Haha, I see. Spike is actually a hedgehog, a stuffed toy that my friend gave me, he loves to watch me craft! Now who’s being silly, lol!
Well, now that’s all cleared up. 🙂

Hi, Sandy, looks like you are having fun the realm of polymer clay. I’ve never worked with it. (For awhile the 5 marker packages were the only way (locally) to buy the markers, so I bought a few from Hobby Lobby with coupons. Now M’s has them, too. We don’t have an AC Moore any longer. I love to buy online, but support the local chain stories, too, since there aren’t any independents around here.) I’ll stop blabbing now. 😉 Happy WOYWW and thanks for visiting me already! ~ Laura
