Been working on lots of polymer clay this past week. Amelia the purple dragon was finished over the weekend.

This guy, who hasn’t yet told me his name, is nearly done.  Check back in the next day or so for more details and photos of him all complete.

This is what you get when you have friends who repair clocks for a living and you ask them for some of their spare parts.  Dunno what most of this stuff is, but it’s quite fun to dig through when working on steampunk projects.

Why am I posting a photo of my messy desktop?  Cuz it’s What’s on Your Workdesk Wednesday!  Check out the link to see what lots of creative people from all over the world are up to.

Happy creating!

  1. I love your little guy! Where did you get the head? Did you make the hands or did they come from somewhere? Can’t wait to see him done!

    1. Robin, I made the head, hands and boots out of polymer clay. They’re all connected by a wire armature which is padded with batting, then covered by the clothes.

More detailed pics coming tomorrow. 🙂

    1. Haha, Lisa, I had to look up BFG. You’re right, he does look like him. 🙂

      Thanks for stopping by!

  2. He is most definitely an Igor! You are clever…he and the purple dragon are great 🙂
And look at that box of clock bits…ooh, they’re fab. I have got a real thing for gears and cogs…can’t explain why, I just do! Steampunk rocks!!

    1. Yeah, I don’t know what it is about steampunk, but it IS way cool. I think the edgy individuality and endless possibilities might be part of it, though. Happy creating!

  3. Wow Sandy, he’s really cool, I’m here late enough to see the finished one! Quite amazing, the dragons are cool too.
