Do you ever find yourself realizing that a tool or supply you’ve ignored for years is actually one of the best things ever?

I don’t know if it’s as true for you, but I tend to scan past unfamiliar jewelry findings way too quickly.

I’ll see them, not understand what they are for and thus not pay any further attention to them.

Silly me, right?

But lately I’ve discovered a supply that has been around for years and I’m so happy I did!

In today’s video I’ll show you what I’ve learned about leverback earrings findings, why I think I prefer them to fishhook or French wire style earrings and give a couple tips for using them in your designs.

Many thanks to for sending along the earring findings:

It occurred to me the other day that 99% of my earrings are the dangly hook style. I do have a few smaller, post type earrings for the second pierced hole in each ear, but that’s it.

It became a problem when I was doing some work with a dress code that stated earrings could be no larger than a dime. Say what?! Oooo, I did not care for that restriction, not one little bit.

It also occurred to me that perhaps not everybody wants them quite so busy as I do. So I assembled several post type earring findings for you to check out.

With the exception of the glue-on findings, all of these have loops from which you can dangle as small or as long a decoration as you like.
