He&#8217;s another one from the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/1454903570\/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=9325&amp;creativeASIN=1454903570&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;tag=secroforgapeo-20&amp;linkId=ZAEYDEH7NOMT5MHV\" target=\"_blank\">Tigers Voyage<\/a>\u00a0book, and the third dragon\u00a0they encounter on their trip.<\/p>\n<p><em>Click on any of the photos for a closer look.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/keepsakecrafts.net\/blog\/wp-content\/gallery\/dragons-of-2015\/dragon-24-Luselong-1.JPG\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"ngg-singlepic ngg-none alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/keepsakecrafts.net\/blog\/wp-content\/gallery\/dragons-of-2015\/dragon-24-Luselong-1.JPG\" alt=\"dragon #24 Luselong 1\" width=\"450\" height=\"338\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I think I have I&#8217;ve had the most fun with this dragon\u00a0so far adding all of the details that the author describes in the book.<\/p>\n<p><em>If you\u2019d like to keep up with my dragon creations this year, I\u2019ve made a <a title=\"Thursday's Dragon\" href=\"http:\/\/www.pinterest.com\/sandysewin\/thursdays-dragon\/\" target=\"_blank\">Thursday\u2019s Dragon Pinterest board<\/a> just for them.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/keepsakecrafts.net\/blog\/wp-content\/gallery\/dragons-of-2015\/dragon-24-Luselong-2.JPG\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"ngg-singlepic ngg-none alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/keepsakecrafts.net\/blog\/wp-content\/gallery\/dragons-of-2015\/dragon-24-Luselong-2.JPG\" alt=\"dragon #24 Luselong 2\" width=\"450\" height=\"329\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Here are some of the descriptions from the novel.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>long sinuous body<\/li>\n<li>bearded<\/li>\n<li>long tongue<\/li>\n<li>four short limbs with taloned feet<\/li>\n<li>earth dragon<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Book Antiqua';\">g<\/span>reen<\/li>\n<li>golden eye<\/li>\n<li>camoflagued in trees<\/li>\n<li>head is brown and knobby like old driftwood<\/li>\n<li>snout is long like a crocodile with pointed teeth<\/li>\n<li>large antlers on back of the head<\/li>\n<li>moss hanging off the horns in sections<\/li>\n<li>golden taloned feet<\/li>\n<li>scales resemble green leaves layered over each other<\/li>\n<li>brown beard &amp; mane look like rich cocoa waves of corn silk<\/li>\n<li>silky hair in a thin patch down its back like a horse&#8217;s mane endings in a long bushy tail<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The branch that he&#8217;s sitting on is a bit of an oak tree that was taken down in our yard a few weeks ago. I think it suits him perfectly.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/keepsakecrafts.net\/blog\/wp-content\/gallery\/dragons-of-2015\/dragon-24-Luselong-3.JPG\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"ngg-singlepic ngg-none alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/keepsakecrafts.net\/blog\/wp-content\/gallery\/dragons-of-2015\/dragon-24-Luselong-3.JPG\" alt=\"dragon #24 Luselong 3\" width=\"448\" height=\"291\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>He&#8217;s described as being a hunter and when the characters in the book first\u00a0see him they actually can&#8217;t find him because he&#8217;s camouflaged in the trees. So I tried to make him look like he&#8217;s sitting there waiting to pounce on them.<\/p>\n<p>This was\u00a0a fun project, but all all those scales took a while to do. I do love how they came out though.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/keepsakecrafts.net\/blog\/wp-content\/gallery\/dragons-of-2015\/dragon-24-Luselong-4.JPG\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"ngg-singlepic ngg-none alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/keepsakecrafts.net\/blog\/wp-content\/gallery\/dragons-of-2015\/dragon-24-Luselong-4.JPG\" alt=\"dragon #24 Luselong 4\" width=\"450\" height=\"456\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I had to pre-bake him\u00a0several times. First I baked\u00a0the body without scales so that the shape would be set, then I added about half the scales and baked it again. That way I could hold onto the set scaled section\u00a0while I added the remaining scales.
