(<em>And then always give credit to the original designer<\/em>.)<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/keepsakecrafts.net\/blog\/wp-content\/gallery\/tutorial-steps\/sketchbook-page.JPG\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"ngg-singlepic ngg-none alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/keepsakecrafts.net\/blog\/wp-content\/gallery\/tutorial-steps\/sketchbook-page.JPG\" alt=\"sketchbook page.JPG\" width=\"449\" height=\"351\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>One way to get from a copy to &#8220;inspired by&#8221; is to make rough drawings\u00a0of the pieces you like in a sketchbook. It&#8217;s likely that when you go to make a piece based on a\u00a0sketch you will add your own personal spin and it may not resemble the original at all.<\/p>\n<p>I tend to lean towards wire wrapped designs, but there are so many other things you can do: chain mail, steampunk, mixed media, resin, gem cutting &amp; setting, this list goes on.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/keepsakecrafts.net\/blog\/wp-content\/gallery\/tutorial-steps\/peanuts-library-card-1.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"ngg-singlepic ngg-none alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/keepsakecrafts.net\/blog\/wp-content\/gallery\/tutorial-steps\/peanuts-library-card-1.jpg\" alt=\"peanuts library card.jpg\" width=\"448\" height=\"93\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I highly recommend if you can that you use your local library to see\u00a0all the different areas of jewelry making you can find\u00a0and further research the ones that most interest you. If you are in an area that has inter-library loan, you can just sit at your computer and reserve stacks of books on any topic you want.
