Happy\u00a0What’s on Your Workdesk Wednesday<\/a>, everyone!<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\"2014<\/a><\/p>\n

Today’s workdesk shows several projects in the works. That pile of mostly pink fabrics in the center back is silks, ready to be hemmed with rolled hems and made into scarves to keep my neck warm this winter.<\/p>\n

The curtain pattern is back, as my church wants a few more curtains to match the ones I made this summer<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\"sylvie<\/a><\/p>\n

But the main thing on\u00a0my desk today is the one you can hardly see, as it’s white clay on a white tile. I’m taking Sylvie Peraud’s Tribal Pendant class over at CraftArtEdu.com and learning all the techniques in this piece. I just hope mine comes out half as nice as hers!<\/p>\n

\"autumn<\/a><\/p>\n

Last week I was working on this autumn doll, based on Sandrartes’ tutorial on YouTube<\/a>. (Even if you never plan to make this sculpture, it’s rather fun to watch the process in the video.)<\/em><\/p>\n

I only changed a couple things from Sandra’s design. I made the shoes a little different and added buttons\/bells. There are gold and copper Gilder’s Paste accents throughout.<\/p>\n

I made the pumpkin skirt more rustic and added some texture. I also thought she needed a couple leaves on her skirt and a sprig of berries in her hand.<\/p>\n

\"autumn<\/a><\/p>\n

I made the acorn cap a different shape, basing it on an acorn I picked up in my yard. And, of course, nobody who knows me would be surprised that she got a purple shirt rather than a green one. \ud83d\ude00<\/p>\n
