Happy\u00a0What’s on Your Workdesk Wednesday<\/a>\u00a0and the first full day of autumn! (Or happy spring to \u00a0my friends in the southern hemisphere.) \ud83d\ude42<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\"2014<\/a><\/p>\n

Today’s workdesk shows quite the array of supplies needed for Tim Holtz’s September \u00a0tag<\/a>.<\/p>\n

I was happy\u00a0to try my new\u00a0Bird Feather<\/a>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0stamp set, as I didn’t have it when he used it\u00a0on his tag back in March.<\/a><\/p>\n

\"september<\/a><\/p>\n

Not sure that I’m thrilled with that egg floating in mid air, although I do like the effect of the solid stamp plus the speckles stamp.<\/p>\n

The technique of using\u00a0Alcohol Blending Solution<\/a>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>with the Burlap Stencil<\/a>\"\"\u00a0to create a\u00a0ghosted image is cool, although mine didn’t work out the way he said. I had to go back in with the blending solution over the stencil after adding\u00a0Butterscotch<\/a>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>alcohol ink to the card.<\/p>\n

The leaves were colored\u00a0with all different alcohol inks, including a bit of\u00a0Gold Mixative<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a>, and then cut from the\u00a0Autumn Gatherings Sizzix Sizzlits Die<\/a>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The colors in this card are kind of schizophrenic, as it doesn’t know whether it wants to be spring or fall. Which is, I suppose, true to how I was feeling while I worked on it. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
