Happy Wednesday! Here’s what you came for, \u00a0my slightly messy desk today. (Click on the pics for a closer look.)<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

As usual, it amazes me how many products are needed to make one little tag. Also, I’m pretty sure a few things had been put away before I remembered to take this photo.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"2014<\/a><\/p>\n

I’d kinda put off working on Tim’s March tag <\/a>because I really liked his stamp set with the bird’s nest & the feather<\/a>\"\"\u00a0and was hoping to find it locally.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"2014<\/a><\/p>\n

Instead I used Hero Arts’ & Sizzix’s\u00a0<\/span>Butterflies & Flowers Stamp & Die set<\/a>\"\". The flowers were stamped in\u00a0<\/span>Worn Lipstick<\/a><\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0distress ink. \u00a0I used \u00a0<\/span>Broken China<\/a><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0and\u00a0<\/span>Peeled Paint<\/a><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0inks to stamp the butterflies. Tim’s idea for a technique was to smudge the ink right after stamping, but I didn’t think it made that much of a difference.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"2014<\/a><\/p>\n

What really DID make a difference, and is my favorite new (ish) technique, is going over the stamps with distress markers and then a\u00a0waterbrush<\/span><\/span><\/a><\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>to blend. For the distress markers I used\u00a0Spun Sugar<\/a>\"\",\u00a0<\/span>Crushed Olive<\/a>\"\"\u00a0and\u00a0<\/span>Mustard Seed<\/a>\"\"\u00a0for the flowers, and added a bit of\u00a0<\/span>Broken China<\/a>\"\"\u00a0to the butterfly.<\/span><\/p>\n

It would have been fun to play with the Distress Marker Spritzer<\/a>\"\", but that’s another tool I haven’t been able to find locally. It’s on my Amazon wishlist, though! Have any of you had a chance to try it out?<\/p>\n
