Happy Wednesday! \u00a0My workdesk today is my kitchen table. For some reason, it seems to be loaded with candy.<\/p>\n

Since I don’t have to put on a big Thanksgiving dinner, I decided to spend a little time doing this fun candy turkey project.<\/p>\n

The first step was to make the candy corn “feathers.” \u00a0I used melted chocolate chips for glue, first opening each cookie to position the candies. \u00a0I put a blob of melted chocolate in the center and then replaced the other half of the cookie.<\/p>\n

While those cooled and hardened I performed Reese cup surgery. \u00a0Some of the Reese cups got squished while being cut, and those,\u00a0of course, had to be eaten. \u00a0Quality control, right?<\/p>\n

All the other pieces were glued together with melted chocolate, some bits you’ll have to hold for a few seconds to let them cool and set up.<\/p>\n

And here they are, my flock of candy turkeys. I think they’ll be a hit at the Thanksgiving dinner I’m bringing them to. \u00a0\ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

This was \u00a0a fun project, but fiddly. \u00a0I don’t know that I’d recommend it for doing with kids, unless you have very patient kids who enjoy this kind of thing.<\/p>\n
