Once again I’m doing the monthly Tim tag<\/a> at nearly the last minute. \u00a0Once reason I’ve put it off was that I really wanted to try the new Distress Glitter, but haven’t been able to find any locally. \u00a0I finally ordered some online, but it isn’t scheduled to arrive until this coming weekend.<\/p>\n

So, I made do with Tim’s technique from October 2012<\/a>, and colored plain glitter with\u00a0Red Pepper<\/a>\u00a0alcohol ink. \u00a0I’m not big into Halloween cards and so decided to do a Christmas card.<\/p>\n

Here’s my desk while working on this project. \u00a0It always amazes me how many products are needed for one little card. Stamps, inks, glitter & glue, oh my!<\/p>\n

This was my first time playing with Distress Paints, and I really love the way they mix and marble.<\/p>\n

I cut the bird branch<\/a>\"\" die out of\u00a0grunge paper<\/a><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0and colored the bird with Barn Door<\/a>\"\"\u00a0Distress Ink and the branch with\u00a0Frayed Burlap<\/a><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>. \u00a0For the snow on the branch I dabbed on white\u00a0enamel accents<\/a><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0and then sprinkled on white flower soft.<\/p>\n

The background was stamped with the Hero Arts Music Background<\/a>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>in\u00a0Coffee Archival Ink<\/a><\/span><\/span><\/span>.\u00a0That stamp is great for so many different projects, birthday, Christmas, any kind of celebration really.<\/p>\n
