{"id":4794,"date":"2013-05-01T00:54:04","date_gmt":"2013-05-01T04:54:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/keepsakecrafts.net\/blog\/?p=4794"},"modified":"2013-05-01T00:54:04","modified_gmt":"2013-05-01T04:54:04","slug":"woyww-butterfly-collage-card-tim-holtz-april-tag","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/keepsakecrafts.net\/blog\/2013\/05\/01\/woyww-butterfly-collage-card-tim-holtz-april-tag\/","title":{"rendered":"WOYWW &#8211; Butterfly Collage Card -Tim Holtz April Tag"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Phew, got <a title=\"Tim Holtz April tag of 2013\" href=\"http:\/\/timholtz.com\/12-tags-of-2013-april\/\" target=\"_blank\">Tim Holtz&#8217;s tag for April 2013<\/a> done just in time!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/keepsakecrafts.net\/blog\/wp-content\/gallery\/cards\/2013-05-01-woyww-april-tim-holtz-tag-4.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"ngg-singlepic ngg-none\" alt=\"2013-05-01-woyww-april-tim-holtz-tag-4\" src=\"https:\/\/keepsakecrafts.net\/blog\/wp-content\/gallery\/cards\/2013-05-01-woyww-april-tim-holtz-tag-4.jpg\" width=\"450\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s how my desk looked whilst in progress.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/keepsakecrafts.net\/blog\/wp-content\/gallery\/woyww\/2013-05-01-woyww-april-tim-holtz-tag-1.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"ngg-singlepic ngg-none\" alt=\"2013-05-01-woyww-april-tim-holtz-tag-1\" src=\"https:\/\/keepsakecrafts.net\/blog\/wp-content\/gallery\/woyww\/2013-05-01-woyww-april-tim-holtz-tag-1.jpg\" width=\"450\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I probably should have put away all the polymer clay stuff, but we all know how to work in that remaining 12 inches of space, right? \u00a0\ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n<p>(Pssst, just to let you know, those pearls and that spool of black thread will be showing up in a jewelry video real soon.)<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/keepsakecrafts.net\/blog\/wp-content\/gallery\/cards\/2013-05-01-woyww-april-tim-holtz-tag-2.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"ngg-singlepic ngg-none\" alt=\"2013-05-01-woyww-april-tim-holtz-tag-2\" src=\"https:\/\/keepsakecrafts.net\/blog\/wp-content\/gallery\/cards\/2013-05-01-woyww-april-tim-holtz-tag-2.jpg\" width=\"350\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>It would have been great to have tried Tim&#8217;s techniques for using the new Distress Paints, but none of my local stores have them yet. \u00a0So instead, I used a panel made ages ago when experimenting with alcohol inks and\u00a0<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B000S15IVM\/ref=as_li_tf_tl?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=secroforgapeo-20&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=9325&amp;creativeASIN=B000S15IVM\" target=\"_blank\">Gold and Silver Metallic Mixatives<\/a>.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The collage stamping was done with a variety of stamps I had on hand and\u00a0<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B0013L5SDY\/ref=as_li_tf_tl?ie=UTF8&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=9325&amp;creativeASIN=B0013L5SDY&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;tag=secroforgapeo-20\" target=\"_blank\">Jet Black StazOn Ink<\/a>.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Did you know that instead of using the &#8220;clearly for art&#8221; plastic, you can just use scraps of plastic packaging? \u00a0Worked great for me. \u00a0Stamp with StazOn and then color the back with\u00a0<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B005FY5H9A\/ref=as_li_tf_tl?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=secroforgapeo-20&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=9325&amp;creativeASIN=B005FY5H9A\" target=\"_blank\">Snow Cap mixative<\/a>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>(alcohol ink.) After doing that I then added <a title=\"lettuce alcohol ink\" href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B000WWIFQ2\/ref=as_li_qf_sp_asin_tl?ie=UTF8&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=9325&amp;creativeASIN=B000WWIFQ2&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;tag=secroforgapeo-20\" target=\"_blank\">Lettuce<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B000WWGF0K\/ref=as_li_tf_tl?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=secroforgapeo-20&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=9325&amp;creativeASIN=B000WWGF0K\" target=\"_blank\">Meadow<\/a><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0alcohol inks.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/keepsakecrafts.net\/blog\/wp-content\/gallery\/cards\/2013-05-01-woyww-april-tim-holtz-tag-3.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"ngg-singlepic ngg-none\" alt=\"2013-05-01-woyww-april-tim-holtz-tag-3\" src=\"https:\/\/keepsakecrafts.net\/blog\/wp-content\/gallery\/cards\/2013-05-01-woyww-april-tim-holtz-tag-3.jpg\" width=\"450\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Instead of using Distress Paints to get a faux patina, I used Ranger&#8217;s Vintaj Patinas in <a title=\"Rust, Cinnabar &amp; margin: 0px !important;\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/www.assoc-amazon.com\/e\/ir?t=secroforgapeo-20&amp;l=as2&amp;o=1&amp;a=B007JL260A\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\" border=\"0\" \/>,\u00a0<a title=\"Victorian Gold &amp;
