{"id":4332,"date":"2013-01-05T06:01:55","date_gmt":"2013-01-05T11:01:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/keepsakecrafts.net\/blog\/?p=4332"},"modified":"2013-01-05T10:03:14","modified_gmt":"2013-01-05T15:03:14","slug":"wire-wrapped-crystal-necklace-video-tutorial","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/keepsakecrafts.net\/blog\/2013\/01\/05\/wire-wrapped-crystal-necklace-video-tutorial\/","title":{"rendered":"Wire Wrapped Crystal Necklace Video Tutorial"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>There&#8217;s something about this bead dangle cluster style of necklace I just love; I can&#8217;t stop making and wearing them.<\/p>\n<p>In fact, I have a hard time deciding every day which one of many to wear (which tells me I probably have far more than I need!)<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/keepsakecrafts.net\/blog\/wp-content\/gallery\/beads-and-jewelry\/wire-wrapped-crystal-necklace-still.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"ngg-singlepic ngg-none\" alt=\"wire-wrapped-crystal-necklace-still\" src=\"https:\/\/keepsakecrafts.net\/blog\/wp-content\/gallery\/beads-and-jewelry\/wire-wrapped-crystal-necklace-still.jpg\" width=\"450\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This one is extra fun because of the wire wrapped crystals along the chain. \u00a0And, of course, it&#8217;s <em>purple<\/em>. \u00a0How can it possibly be wrong? \u00a0\ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n<p>Anyhow, enjoy the video and make yourself some jewelry in\u00a0<em>your\u00a0<\/em>favorite colors.<em> \u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"450\" height=\"336\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/lZ0K1Rlwl4Q?list=UUPCLcxmcWrUZc3rTXRCSq2A\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><strong>Materials:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>three charms<\/li>\n<li>two large beads for dangles (plus bead caps, if desired)<\/li>\n<li>eight crystal bicone beads<\/li>\n<li>10 head pins<\/li>\n<li>eight split rings or jump rings<\/li>\n<li>24 inches of chain for necklace<\/li>\n<li>toggle clasp<\/li>\n<li>two 1-inch rings<\/li>\n<li>chain nose pliers<\/li>\n<li>round nose pliers<\/li>\n<li>wire cutters<\/li>\n<li>split ring tool, if needed<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Instructions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Arrange large beads and bead caps on two head pins in pattern of your choice.<\/li>\n<li>To make each head pin into a dangle, use chain nose pliers to grasp wire just at point where it exits last bead. Bend wire at 90-degree angle.<\/li>\n<li>Grasp bend with round nose pliers and wrap wire around pliers as far as possible to start to make a loop. Reposition pliers to finish loop.<\/li>\n<li>Use wire cutters to trim wire where it crosses beginning of loop.<\/li>\n<li>Attach split ring or jump ring to center link of 24-inch chain. Attach 1-inch rings to this split ring.<\/li>\n<li>Attach bead dangles and charms to 1-inch rings with split rings or jump rings.<\/li>\n<li>Slide a bicone crystal onto a head pin. To make head pin into a dangle, use chain nose pliers to grasp wire just at point where it exits bead. Bend wire at 90-degree angle.<\/li>\n<li>Grasp bend with round nose pliers and wrap wire around pliers as far as possible to start to make a loop. Reposition pliers to finish loop.<\/li>\n<li>Use pliers to slightly open loop and slide through a link of necklace chain \u00bd inch from split ring at center. Close loop and wrap excess wire around wire coming out of bicone crystal. Use wire cutters to trim excess wire.<\/li>\n<li>Repeat to attach another three bicone crystals, each \u00bd inch apart along necklace chain.<\/li>\n<li>Repeat steps 7-10 to attach four bicone crystals to other side of necklace chain.<\/li>\n<li>Attach half of clasp with a jump ring or split ring to each end of chain.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>There&#8217;s something about this bead dangle cluster style of necklace I just love; I can&#8217;t stop making and wearing them.
