Tim’s decision to set aside the 12 Tags of Christmas in favor of doing a tag every month was a good one. \u00a0I’ve really appreciated having a whole month to get to each project. Some months that was almost not enough time!<\/p>\n

This month<\/a> he gave us two tags cuz he owed us one from January. \u00a0(See? \u00a0Even famous crafters get behind. \u00a0haha)<\/p>\n

Since I’m not making Christmas cards this year, I decided to make a couple thank you cards.<\/p>\n

This blue background was made by swiping cardstock\u00a0through\u00a0Broken China Distress Stain<\/a>\u00a0and a few drops of silver\u00a0Ranger Vintaj Patina<\/a>. ( I used the patinas since I didn’t have the metallic Distress Stains that Tim used.)<\/p>\n

The snowmen were stamped with\u00a0Jet Black Archival Ink<\/a>\u00a0onto watercolor paper and colored with markers. \u00a0As you can see, there was liberal application of\u00a0Rock Candy Distress Stickles<\/a>. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

A little bit of\u00a0Symphony Tissue Tape<\/a>, some baker’s twine and a sentiment from\u00a0Hero Arts’\u00a0Everyday Sayings<\/a>\u00a0set finished it off.<\/p>\n

This background was made the same way as the blue one, but with gold\u00a0Ranger Vintaj Patina<\/a>,\u00a0Wild Honey Distress Stain<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Fired Brick Distress Stain<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The sentiment background was cut from Tim’s Kraft Resist Paper Stash<\/a>\"\"\u00a0with the\u00a0Spellbinders Nestabilities Mega Dies, Labels 8<\/a>. \u00a0Of course it was inked with, what else but\u00a0Vintage Photo<\/a>\u00a0Distress Ink.<\/p>\n

Grunge paper<\/a>\u00a0was covered with dictionary paper, die cut with the\u00a0Tattered Florals<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Tattered Leaves<\/a>\u00a0dies and colored with\u00a0Wild Honey Distress Stain<\/a>,\u00a0Peeled Paint Distress Stain<\/a>\u00a0andFired Brick Distress Stain<\/a>.<\/p>\n

I also cut a grunge paper flourish with the\u00a0Elegant Flourishes Die<\/a>\u00a0and painted it with\u00a0Tarnished Brass Distress Crackle Paint<\/a>.<\/p>\n

These were fairly simple projects, and you could use the techniques to make just about any style of project.<\/p>\n
