I love the dramatic look, but when I tried on this one last week I was surprised at just how goth it looked. I was glad I had used the purple beads, rather than the black I&#8217;d been originally considering. (These are the beads I dyed purple in <a title=\"Custom Dyed Pearl Necklace\" href=\"https:\/\/keepsakecrafts.net\/blog\/2012\/12\/05\/custom-color-dyed-pearls-necklace\/\" target=\"_blank\">this video,<\/a> btw.)<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/keepsakecrafts.net\/blog\/wp-content\/gallery\/beads-and-jewelry\/chain-and-bead-dangle-choker-still.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"ngg-singlepic ngg-none\" src=\"https:\/\/keepsakecrafts.net\/blog\/wp-content\/gallery\/beads-and-jewelry\/chain-and-bead-dangle-choker-still.jpg\" alt=\"chain-and-bead-dangle-choker-still\" width=\"450\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I am so totally NOT a Goth chick, lol. \u00a0But I kinda liked the edginess.<\/p>\n<p>It just goes to show you that one design can be dramatically different depending on the components you chose.<\/p>\n<p>Picture this one with delicate gold chain and pink &amp; crystal beads. \u00a0Yeah, just pretty, not Goth at all.<\/p>\n<p>Can&#8217;t you see it?<\/p>\n<p>Play, experiment, have fun and Happy Creating!<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/47QIxt4SB-E\" frameborder=\"0\" width=\"450\" height=\"336\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><strong>Materials:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>10 beads<\/li>\n<li>10 decorative head pins<\/li>\n<li>10-20 spacer beads<\/li>\n<li>20 jump rings<\/li>\n<li>18-inch piece of chain for necklace<\/li>\n<li>lobster clasp<\/li>\n<li>21 inches chain for dangles<\/li>\n<li>chain nose pliers<\/li>\n<li>round nose pliers<\/li>\n<li>wire cutters<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Instructions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Cut 21-inch piece of chain into four 2-inch pieces, four 2 \u00bd-inch pieces, and one 3-inch piece.<\/li>\n<li>Arrange beads and spacer beads on 10 decorative head pins in pattern of your choice.<\/li>\n<li>To make each head pin into a dangle, use chain nose pliers to grasp wire just at point where it exits last bead. Bend wire at 90-degree angle.<\/li>\n<li>Grasp bend with round nose pliers and wrap wire around pliers as far as possible to start to make a loop. Reposition pliers to finish loop.<\/li>\n<li>Use wire cutters to trim wire where it crosses beginning of loop.<\/li>\n<li>Arrange lengths of chain in this pattern: 2\u201d-2\u201d-2 \u00bd\u201d-2 \u00bd\u201d-3\u201d-2 \u00bd\u201d- 2 \u00bd\u201d-2\u201d-2\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Arrange bead dangles between lengths of chain, beginning and ending with a bead dangle.<\/li>\n<li>Attach bead dangles and lengths of chain to necklace chain with jump rings.<\/li>\n<li>Attach a clasp with a jump ring to one end of chain.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Lately I&#8217;ve been eyeballin&#8217; necklaces with lengths of chain for dangles.
