Tim’s tag for July<\/a> uses a fun technique involving alcohol ink and canned air. \u00a0(Check out the link for a video with the details.)<\/p>\n

His tag was patriotic, but I decided to make a few birthday cards for guys instead.<\/p>\n

After making ink splats with\u00a0Gold Metallic Mixative<\/a>,\u00a0Sailboat Blue<\/a>\"\",\u00a0Watermelon<\/a>\"\",\u00a0Sunset Orange<\/a>\"\"\u00a0and\u00a0Stream<\/a>\u00a0alcohol\u00a0inks I stamped\u00a0Ranger Glossy Cardstock<\/a>\u00a0with\u00a0Jet Black Archival Ink<\/a>\u00a0using Tim’s\u00a0The Journey<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Curious Possibility<\/a>\"\"\u00a0stamp sets.<\/p>\n

The best way to do this is to stamp larger images first, then fill in the remaining areas with the smaller stamps, collage style. Notice that the Archival Ink doesn’t do as well over the metallic ink. \u00a0That may be because I didn’t let it dry long enough. \u00a0Since it’s a collage, I didn’t worry about it.<\/p>\n

The 8.5″ x 11″ glossy paper was cut into 2.75″ x 4.25″ pieces, enough for eight cards. (They’re all pretty similar, so I’m only showing you two.)<\/p>\n

The collage panel was mounted to some colored cardstock and then glued to a\u00a0Kraft cardstock<\/a>\u00a0card base.<\/p>\n

The “Happy Birthday” sentiment is from Inkadinkado All Occasions<\/a>\"\"\u00a0and the\u00a0Mini Gears<\/a>\u00a0were attached with\u00a03\/16-Inch Mini Glue Dots<\/a>.<\/p>\n

There you have it, quick and easy birthday cards for guys.<\/p>\n
