June Tag of 2012 &#8211; Vintage Photo Tinting"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Today&#8217;s workdesk shows my happy wonderful mess of working on yet another Tim Holtz tag. \u00a0<a title=\"Tim Holtz Tags of 2012 - June\" href=\"http:\/\/timholtz.com\/12-tags-of-2012-june\/\" target=\"_blank\">June&#8217;s inspiration tag<\/a> uses lots of supplies that I just happened to have. \u00a0The only thing I bought was the <a title=\"Tim Holtz Ideaology Filmstrip Ribbon\" href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B002QWSHYQ\/ref=as_li_tf_tl?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=secroforgapeo-20&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=9325&amp;creativeASIN=B002QWSHYQ\" target=\"_blank\">Filmstrip Ribbon<\/a>, but I&#8217;ve wanted to get that for awhile anyhow.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/keepsakecrafts.net\/blog\/wp-content\/gallery\/woyww\/2012-06-26-woyww-photo-tinting-june-tag-of-2012-001.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"ngg-singlepic ngg-none\" src=\"https:\/\/keepsakecrafts.net\/blog\/wp-content\/gallery\/woyww\/2012-06-26-woyww-photo-tinting-june-tag-of-2012-001.jpg\" alt=\"2012-06-26-woyww-photo-tinting-june-tag-of-2012-001\" width=\"450\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>With my 25th wedding anniversary coming up next month, I thought this would be a great time to pull out a wedding photo, convert it to black &amp; white and try colorizing it.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s the photo before I colored it:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/keepsakecrafts.net\/blog\/wp-content\/gallery\/woyww\/july-20-1987.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"ngg-singlepic ngg-none\" src=\"https:\/\/keepsakecrafts.net\/blog\/wp-content\/gallery\/woyww\/july-20-1987.jpg\" alt=\"july-20-1987\" width=\"300\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We were kinda cute, eh? \u00a0That was nearly 25 years, and, ahem&#8230; a few pounds ago (for me anyhow, HE weighs the same, how unfair is that?)<\/p>\n<p>********Update 6\/27\/12 1 p.m.***********<\/p>\n<p>The tag is now complete, so below are better photos and a few close ups.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/keepsakecrafts.net\/blog\/wp-content\/gallery\/crafts\/2012-06-27-woyww-photo-tinting-june-tag-of-2012.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"ngg-singlepic ngg-none\" src=\"https:\/\/keepsakecrafts.net\/blog\/wp-content\/gallery\/crafts\/2012-06-27-woyww-photo-tinting-june-tag-of-2012.jpg\" alt=\"2012-06-27-woyww-photo-tinting-june-tag-of-2012\" width=\"450\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Tim actually showed photo tinting with Distress Inks way back in his DVD\u00a0<a title=\"The Journey Continues DVD - Tim Holtz\" href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B000ELJ3HG\/ref=as_li_tf_tl?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=secroforgapeo-20&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=9325&amp;creativeASIN=B000ELJ3HG\" target=\"_blank\">The Journey Continues<\/a>. \u00a0It&#8217;s a technique I&#8217;ve never tried, but it was a lot of fun and worked great. \u00a0I didn&#8217;t have the pen nibs, but found a <a title=\"Dove Blender Pen Kit\" href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B007RITSMY\/ref=as_li_tf_tl?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=secroforgapeo-20&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=9325&amp;creativeASIN=B007RITSMY\" target=\"_blank\">Dove Blender Pen<\/a>\u00a0did a fine job. \u00a0Just make sure to clean it off well between colors.<\/p>\n<p>Some supplies I used:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a title=\"Tonic Retractable Craft Scratcher\" href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B001685KBO?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=secroforgapeo-20&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=9325&amp;creativeASIN=B001685KBO\" target=\"_blank\">Craft Scratcher<\/a>\u00a0to fray the edges of the ribbon (DO NOT do this on your craft sheet!)<\/li>\n<li><a title=\"Tim Holtz Ideaology Word Bands\" href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B007JL2W3G\/ref=as_li_tf_tl?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=secroforgapeo-20&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=9325&amp;creativeASIN=B007JL2W3G\" target=\"_blank\">Word Bands<\/a>\u00a0&#8211;
