Fun stuff!)<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/keepsakecrafts.net\/blog\/wp-content\/gallery\/woyww\/2012-01-31-woyww-christmas-scrapbook-layout.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"ngg-singlepic ngg-none\" src=\"https:\/\/keepsakecrafts.net\/blog\/wp-content\/gallery\/woyww\/2012-01-31-woyww-christmas-scrapbook-layout.jpg\" alt=\"2012-01-31-woyww-christmas-scrapbook-layout\" width=\"450\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve finished up \u00a0the scrapbook layout about my son&#8217;s first Christmas. \u00a0(Oops, just realized I need to add the date somewhere on the page. It was December 1988.)<\/p>\n<p>In fact, you can see from this pic of the left side that the glossy accents have just been applied. (Click on any of the photos to see larger images.)<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/keepsakecrafts.net\/blog\/wp-content\/gallery\/scrapbooking\/2012-01-31-woyww-christmas-scrapbook-layout-left-side.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"ngg-singlepic ngg-none\" src=\"https:\/\/keepsakecrafts.net\/blog\/wp-content\/gallery\/scrapbooking\/2012-01-31-woyww-christmas-scrapbook-layout-left-side.jpg\" alt=\"2012-01-31-woyww-christmas-scrapbook-layout-left-side\" width=\"450\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>It had been my hope to finish up trying the techniques from all 12 of Tim Holtz&#8217;s 12 Tags of Christmas by the end of January. \u00a0Alas, this page brings me up only to <a title=\"12 Tags of Christmas - day 9\" href=\"http:\/\/timholtz.com\/12-tags-of-christmastag-9\/\" target=\"_blank\">day 9<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s probably not apparent, but I tried his stamping &amp; clear embossing technique on the dark green strips at the bottom of the pages.<\/p>\n<p>First I stamped the snowflakes (<a title=\"Inkadinkado 7-Piece Snowflakes A-Plenty Clear Stamp\" href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B001GP5OJK?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=secroforgapeo-20&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=9325&amp;creativeASIN=B001GP5OJK\" target=\"_blank\">Inkadinkado 7-Piece Snowflakes A-Plenty Clear Stamp<\/a>) with <a title=\"Brilliance Platinum Planet Ink\" href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B000S12R2K\/ref=as_li_tf_tl?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=secroforgapeo-20&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=9325&amp;creativeASIN=B000S12R2K\" target=\"_blank\">Tsukineko Brilliance Platinum Planet Ink<\/a><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"border: none !important; margin: 0px !important;\" src=\"http:\/\/www.assoc-amazon.com\/e\/ir?t=secroforgapeo-20&amp;l=as2&amp;o=1&amp;a=B000S12R2K\" alt=\"\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\" border=\"0\" \/>\u00a0and embossed with\u00a0<a title=\"Ranger Embossing Powder 1-Ounce, Clear\" href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B00161O5Y4?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=secroforgapeo-20&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=9325&amp;creativeASIN=B00161O5Y4\" target=\"_blank\">Clear Embossing Powder<\/a>\u00a0and a\u00a0<a title=\"embossing heat tool\" href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B000QTFH58\/ref=as_li_tf_tl?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=secroforgapeo-20&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=9325&amp;creativeASIN=B000QTFH58\" target=\"_blank\">heat tool<\/a>. Then I inked over the entire background with\u00a0<a title=\"Peeled Paint Distress Ink\" href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B000S17ZVI\/ref=as_li_tf_tl?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=secroforgapeo-20&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=9325&amp;creativeASIN=B000S17ZVI\" target=\"_blank\">Peeled Paint<\/a><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"border: none !important; margin: 0px !important;\" src=\"http:\/\/www.assoc-amazon.com\/e\/ir?t=secroforgapeo-20&amp;l=as2&amp;o=1&amp;a=B000S17ZVI\" alt=\"\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\" border=\"0\" \/>\u00a0Distress Ink, and embossed that also with clear embossing power.<\/p>\n<p>Before embossing, Tim tells you to knock off some of the powder by giving the paper a good &#8220;flick&#8221; and also rub some of the powder off the edges. \u00a0Then I inked over the whole thing with\u00a0<a title=\"Vintage Photo\" href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B0013JLDVC\/ref=as_li_tf_tl?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=secroforgapeo-20&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=9325&amp;creativeASIN=B0013JLDVC\" target=\"_blank\">Vintage Photo<\/a>\u00a0distress ink. \u00a0Since the embossing resists the ink, the Vintage Photo ink only stays in the crevises and areas where you knocked off the powder.<\/p>\n<p>The effect is\u00a0definitely\u00a0more obvious on Tim&#8217;s tag, but I like the way my snowflakes came out.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s the right side of the layout. Except for the solid green cardstock, all the papers are from either Tim Holtz&#8217;s <a title=\"Seasonal Paper Stash Pad\" href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B0047HFDA4\/ref=as_li_tf_tl?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=secroforgapeo-20&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=9325&amp;creativeASIN=B0047HFDA4\" target=\"_blank\"> Seasonal Paper Stash Pad<\/a><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"border: none !important; margin: 0px !important;\" src=\"http:\/\/www.assoc-amazon.com\/e\/ir?t=secroforgapeo-20&amp;l=as2&amp;o=1&amp;a=B001684434\" alt=\"\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\" border=\"0\" \/>\u00a0and\u00a0inked with\u00a0<a title=\"Vintage Photo\" href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B0013JLDVC\/ref=as_li_tf_tl?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=secroforgapeo-20&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=9325&amp;creativeASIN=B0013JLDVC\" target=\"_blank\">Vintage Photo<\/a>\u00a0distress ink. \u00a0The excess ink was rubbed off, leaving it mainly in the crackles.<\/p>\n<p>To finish up I lightly brushed the letters with\u00a0<a title=\"Perfect Pearls Heirloom Gold\" href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B0013AM4VE?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=secroforgapeo-20&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=9325&amp;creativeASIN=B0013AM4VE\" target=\"_blank\">Perfect Pearls Heirloom Gold<\/a>\u00a0and topped each with\u00a0<a title=\"Glossy Accents\" href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B000S14MNC\/ref=as_li_tf_tl?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=secroforgapeo-20&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=9325&amp;creativeASIN=B000S14MNC\" target=\"_blank\">Glossy Accents<\/a><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"border: none !important;
