{"id":2379,"date":"2011-08-23T16:27:54","date_gmt":"2011-08-23T20:27:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/keepsakecrafts.net\/blog\/?p=2379"},"modified":"2016-11-23T20:26:29","modified_gmt":"2016-11-24T01:26:29","slug":"surrounded-by-love-two-page-scrapbook-layout","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/keepsakecrafts.net\/blog\/2011\/08\/23\/surrounded-by-love-two-page-scrapbook-layout\/","title":{"rendered":"Surrounded By Love &#8211; Two Page Scrapbook Layout"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This scrapbook layout began with an assortment of photos, all of our new baby, but without any particular theme.<\/p>\n<p>Whenever this happens to you there are a few approaches you can take.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Simply scrap the pictures, giving the names, the date and perhaps a brief comment about each.<\/li>\n<li>Use the opportunity to recount a memory that you don&#8217;t have any photos of.<\/li>\n<li>Study the pics and try to think of a unifying theme.\u00a0 It often helps to leave the photos out where you can see them for a few days as you think about it.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Looking at these photos made me think of how blessed a baby is to have folks who just can&#8217;t wait to meet him and hold him, and how wonderful it is to be surrounded by love.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/keepsakecrafts.net\/blog\/wp-content\/gallery\/scrapbooking\/1988-05-surrounded-by-love-a-sbp.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"ngg-singlepic ngg-none\" src=\"https:\/\/keepsakecrafts.net\/blog\/wp-content\/gallery\/scrapbooking\/1988-05-surrounded-by-love-a-sbp.jpg\" alt=\"1988-05-surrounded-by-love-a-sbp\" width=\"450\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The &#8220;Surrounded&#8221; was stamped with a set by My Sentiments Exactly.\u00a0 It looked rather flat and boring, so to give them some dimension and interest I went over the letters with <a title=\"Glossy Accents \" href=\"http:\/\/amzn.to\/2gdTdzb\" target=\"_blank\">Glossy Accents<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>My handwriting is utterly horrible, but somehow I managed to get the &#8220;by&#8221; to look not that bad, lol.<\/p>\n<p>The &#8220;LOVE&#8221; was done with the Sizzix Shadow Box dies and my <a title=\"Sizzix Big Shot die cutting machine\" href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B001AGZZIU\/ref=as_li_tf_tl?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=secroforgapeo-20&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;camp=217145&amp;creative=399373&amp;creativeASIN=B001AGZZIU\" target=\"_blank\">Sizzix Big Shot<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Mounting stickers on squares of paper keeps them from getting lost on the page and gives them importance.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/keepsakecrafts.net\/blog\/wp-content\/gallery\/scrapbooking\/1988-05-surrounded-by-love-b-sbp.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"ngg-singlepic ngg-none\" src=\"https:\/\/keepsakecrafts.net\/blog\/wp-content\/gallery\/scrapbooking\/1988-05-surrounded-by-love-b-sbp.jpg\" alt=\"1988-05-surrounded-by-love-b-sbp\" width=\"450\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>All the papers were edged with Distress inks, including Vintage Photo,\u00a0<a title=\"Broken China Tim Holtz Distress Ink\" href=\"http:\/\/amzn.to\/2gIaeXr\" target=\"_blank\">Broken China<\/a>, <a title=\"Faded jeans Tim Holtz Distress Ink \" href=\"http:\/\/amzn.to\/2gI1h0g\" target=\"_blank\">Faded jeans<\/a>, <a title=\"Peeled Paint Tim Holtz Distress Ink\" href=\"http:\/\/amzn.to\/2gI1oZK\" target=\"_blank\">Peeled Paint<\/a>\u00a0and <a title=\"Spiced Marmalade Distress Ink\" href=\"http:\/\/amzn.to\/2ghEZxv\" target=\"_blank\">Spiced Marmalade<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>If you took my Distress Ink away, I don&#8217;t think I&#8217;d be able to scrapbook, lol.\u00a0 They add just that perfect finishing touch.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/keepsakecrafts.net\/blog\/wp-content\/gallery\/scrapbooking\/1988-05-surrounded-by-love-ab-sbp.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"ngg-singlepic ngg-none\" src=\"https:\/\/keepsakecrafts.net\/blog\/wp-content\/gallery\/scrapbooking\/1988-05-surrounded-by-love-ab-sbp.jpg\" alt=\"1988-05-surrounded-by-love-ab-sbp\" width=\"450\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Happy creating!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This scrapbook layout began with an assortment of photos, all of our new baby, but without any particular theme.
