Today’s desk shows what it’s like while I’m in the midst of making a card.\u00a0 Yikes.<\/p>\n

All this for one itty bitty card?\u00a0 Yup.<\/p>\n

The first step in making this card was to do some stamping and embossing.<\/p>\n

\"masculine<\/a><\/p>\n

I used Tim Holtz Visual Artistry Collection Stampers Anonymous Clear Stamps – The Journey<\/a>, Darice Clear Stamp Set, Travel Phrases<\/a>\"\", Clear Embossing Ink<\/a>\u00a0and Clear Embossing Powder<\/a>\u00a0to make a background.<\/p>\n

\"masculine<\/a><\/p>\n

Then I inked over the embossing with Vintage Photo, Broken China<\/a>, Faded jeans<\/a>\u00a0and Peeled Paint<\/a>\u00a0Distress Inks.\u00a0 Use a baby wipe to lightly wipe the excess ink off the embossing.<\/p>\n

\"masculine<\/a><\/p>\n

Next I made some tags by first covering cardstock with Tim Holtz’s Symphony Tissue Tape<\/a>. I used my Big Kick (a Sizzix Big Shot<\/a>\"\"\u00a0would work just as well) to cut out the Sizzix Tag Set – Large Red Die<\/a>\"\".<\/p>\n

The tags were embossed with the vintage truck from the Tim Holtz Visual Artistry Collection Stampers Anonymous Clear Stamps – The Journey<\/a>\u00a0and the “Happy Birthday” from the Fiskars Quote Clear Stamps: Make A Wish<\/a>\u00a0set.\u00a0 I like to use Ranger’s Super Fine Detail Embossing Powder, black<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The tags were finished up with Broken China<\/a>\u00a0and Peeled Paint<\/a>\u00a0Distress inks and some hemp twine.<\/p>\n

The card was finished with a strip of MemoryStor patterned paper and American Crafts ribbon.<\/p>\n

Sorry about the poor lighting in the photos, this was a tough color to get to look right.<\/p>\n
