The fun thing about working with resin is that you can put just about anything into it.<\/em><\/p>\n

Of course, you have to be careful that:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. the objects you embed in resin are waterproof, and<\/li>\n
  2. they won\u2019t cause chemical reactions which may make your resin not set.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    But other than those considerations you are only limited by your imagination!<\/em><\/p>\n

    In today\u2019s video I\u2019m playing with the idea of using transparencies within resin and embedding objects to complete a scene.<\/p>\n

    Those of you who are my patrons will be able to access the images I used in the videos<\/a>. (FYI, I’ve purchase a license that allows me to share them with you, but it does not allow for use in items that will be sold.)<\/em><\/p>\n

    Some of the other things I considered adding to my scenes:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

    • Sculpted polymer clay items such as leaves, branches or flowers<\/li>\n
    • Natural items such as stones, seeds, twigs and plants<\/li>\n
    • Broken bits and pieces of meaningful jewelry<\/li>\n
    • Just a whole bunch of steampunk gears!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      I\u2019m sure you could go on with lots more ideas yourselves. Feel free to share your thoughts on what you would like to embed in resin to make it personal.<\/p>\n

      • Magic Glos UV resin<\/a><\/li>\n
      • Silicone molds<\/a><\/li>\n
      • Inkjet transparencies<\/a><\/li>\n
      • Charms, beads and other items to add to your resin scene<\/li>\n
      • Mini scoops<\/a> (helpful, but not required)<\/li>\n
      • UV lamp, flashlight<\/a> or a bright sunny day<\/li>\n
      • Awl for positioning<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
