{"id":10952,"date":"2017-01-31T14:53:07","date_gmt":"2017-01-31T19:53:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/keepsakecrafts.net\/blog\/?p=10952"},"modified":"2018-10-09T16:51:28","modified_gmt":"2018-10-09T20:51:28","slug":"storms-sunshine-bracelet-jewelry-video-tutorial","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/keepsakecrafts.net\/blog\/2017\/01\/31\/storms-sunshine-bracelet-jewelry-video-tutorial\/","title":{"rendered":"Storms &#038; Sunshine Bracelet Jewelry Video Tutorial"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>If you&#8217;ve been watching my Friday findings videos for any time at all you&#8217;ve probably realized that I love not only discovering new jewelry findings that I haven&#8217;t used before, but also figuring out unique and different ways of using them.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/keepsakecrafts.net\/blog\/wp-content\/gallery\/beads-and-jewelry\/storms-sunshine-bracelet-cover.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"ngg-singlepic ngg-none alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/keepsakecrafts.net\/blog\/wp-content\/gallery\/beads-and-jewelry\/storms-sunshine-bracelet-cover.jpg\" alt=\"storms &amp; sunshine bracelet cover\" width=\"449\" height=\"253\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I love the sleek look of these magnetic clasps, and I also love the fact that they are easy to fasten because of the magnetic closure,&nbsp; but secure because of the design. These findings were designed to accept the cut ends of leather cording, making what could be rather masculine bracelets, certainly on trend with all of the dyed and interesting different types of leather cord available now.<\/p>\n<p>I decided to try something different with these and used multiple lengths of hemp cord. Stringing a few small beads onto several of the cords adds a decorative touch without being overwhelming.<\/p>\n<p>Probably the trickiest part of this project is getting the cords glued neatly into the findings. I tried a couple different ways and in the video I show you what worked best for me.<\/p>\n<p>This is a fun project because it only uses three jewelry components: the clasp, the cord and the beads. For tools all you need are glue, a toothpick and some scissors.<\/p>\n<p>I call the bracelet &#8220;Storms and Sunshine&#8221; because the gray &amp; blue cords make me think of stormy skies, but the brass beads are bright and sunny. Perhaps a bit too poetic? But better than &#8220;Magnetic Clasp Bracelet With Multiple Strands of Hemp Cord and Brass Beads,&#8221; methinks. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Tools and Materials:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/amzn.to\/2j4pkX6\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Magnetic clasp meant for leather cord<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Cording, such as <a href=\"http:\/\/amzn.to\/2jrckYq\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">hemp cord<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Beads that will fit on your cord, I used <a href=\"http:\/\/amzn.to\/2j4rC8U\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">faceted brass beads<\/a>,&nbsp; <a href=\"http:\/\/amzn.to\/2j4AQle\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">4mm round brass beads<\/a> and some diagonally drilled square beads (sorry, no link for those, they&#8217;ve been in my stash for ages)<\/li>\n<li>Two-part epoxy, either quick settings such as <a href=\"http:\/\/amzn.to\/2jrn60D\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">5-minute epoxy<\/a> or slower setting, such as <a href=\"http:\/\/amzn.to\/2j4G6FT\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">30-minute epoxy<\/a> or <a href=\"http:\/\/www.uhu-profishop.com\/uhu-plus-300-epoxy-resin-adhesive-tube-binder-tube-hardener-33g.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">90-minute epoxy<\/a>, which I recommend<\/li>\n<li>Toothpick<\/li>\n<li>Scissors<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Enjoy the video and happy creating!<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/7rqJwaEn-MI\" width=\"450\" height=\"253\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Watch the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/7rqJwaEn-MI\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Storms &amp; Sunshine Bracelet Jewelry Video Tutorial<\/a> at YouTube.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>If you&#8217;ve been watching my Friday findings videos for any time at all you&#8217;ve probably realized that I love not only discovering new jewelry findings that I haven&#8217;t used before, but also figuring out unique and different ways of using them.
