Not only do I have both the September and October dollar bead boxes unboxing video for you, I also show several ideas for ways you can use these wonderful beads and findings.

One of the items was missing in my September bead box, but the folks at Dollar Bead Box got it out to me right away, and even threw in an extra goody!

I liked it so much that I decided to use it in a project (it’s the sparkly clasp in the lower right of the cover photo.) With the time delay I decided to save September’s box and do two months in one video.

It was interesting doing both months at the same time as I noticed patterns and themes that I hadn’t before. Like the fact that they included vintage buttons in both boxes, and also the vintage embossed hearts in two different colors. I can be kind of unobservant so I might not have noticed that otherwise.

If you want to get beads in the mail, there are two different subscriptions available:

In today’s video I go through all of the goodies in the June 2017 Dollar Bead Box and Bag. In case you missed it, last month I reviewed this monthly subscription service which brings Czech fire polish beads, an assortment of other beads and jewelry findings to your door.

I love this kind of service because it challenges me. I find when I go to buy beads I often will skip over things that I’m not sure what I would do with or things that at first glance I just don’t care for. These assortments are great because they make you think in different ways, challenge you to get creative with the supplies you have and therefore make new discoveries.

By the way, last month Dollar Bead Box was kind enough to send 3 bead boxes to winners of a drawing on my YouTube channel! If you were one of the winners we would all love to hear what you think of your boxes, and would love to see what projects you’ve made with the supplies.

The bracelet I mentioned in the video that I was thinking of when looking at the dagger beads is the Damselfly Bracelet designed by Cynthia Kimura at Artbeads.com. After looking it up I found that what I thought were daggers on the edges are actually Rizo beads, but I think the daggers would work just as well

This week I have something a little different for Friday Findings, it’s a review of a bead subscription service called Dollar Bead Box. Sounds like fun, getting a box of beads in the mail every month!

I also will show you what comes in their Dollar Bead Bags, which is a subscription for Czech fire polished beads. I have to admit that I liked them so much immediately after recording the video I used two of the strands in a project!

If you use a lot of beads and are interested in trying new and different things, perhaps things you might overlook otherwise, you may want to give them a try.

Dollar Bead Box sent me their May 2017 box to try out and review, and I have arranged with them to give away three more boxes to my YouTube subscribers.

You’ll just need to fill out the Rafflecopter form below. Be sure to give me an email address that you check regularly, and be sure to check it next week, on June 6th. in case you won. 🙂 Winners have 48 hours to get back to me with their mailing address before I draw other names.
