Acorns, Oak Leaves and Pumpkins, Oh My! Faux Carved Stone Bracelet-Polymer Clay Tutorial

Now that September has arrived, some fall themed jewelry is in order, wouldn’t you agree?

Here in New England the colors of fall are lovely, but I decided to go in a different direction with this bracelet design.

I kept my bracelet monochromatic, with the emphasis being on the autumn imagery. Rather than bright colors I choose a more subtle palette of warm browns and copper.

It was a lot of fun figuring out how to sculpt these teeny-tiny pumpkins, acorns and oak leaves.

If you’re not into this style of bracelet, how about sculpting a bitty fall scene and making it into a pendant?  Or you could apply them to a glass candle holder for some autumnal home dec.

  1. So Sandy, do you live near Boston, I ask because I was born there a still even though we moved here in the 50’s, we are die hard Bostonians. We go and visit many relatives we still have there. But most of them are my Mom’s Family, So I have a bunch of Cousin’s here and we are all born the same year so we are almost the same age, it’s so wonderful we are actually like Sister’s, however I do have and older Sister and Brother, I adore them, I was the last one, we are very close even though my Mom and Dad passed it’s tough without them but my Brother and Sister are wonderful. and I have two Nieces, one great Niece. Two wonderful Daughter’s Both Married and my eldest and her Husband gave, My Hubby two beautiful Grandchildren a girl 14, and a boy 5, they are my heart! I’m going to try to work on my bracelet, the Autumn one, I will do mine in my way as I’m sure you do, well you think your’s from your head, which I used to do, but lately can’t seem to get in the groove, But I’m sure I will get back there soon.

    1. Hi Joy,

Yes, I live in Brockton, about 30 miles south of Boston. I’m not really a fan of the big city, but we do love how winning our sports teams are. Go Patriots! 😉

Have fun with the Autumn bracelet. I loved doing all the little tiny sculpting, it’s so my thing. Please share your version when you are done!
