This weeks’ mess desk finds me in the middle of making some birthday cards. The free Pink Paislee papers and chipboard accents in the May issue of Cardmaking & Papercraft were why I bought the magazine.

The papers are all very pretty and girly.  I probably will have to work on some masculine b-day cards soon, but for now I’m enjoying all the lace, flowers & birds.  🙂

I wish I could afford to subscribe to some of the UK papercrafting magazines, I really prefer them to the U.S. versions.  (And the freebies are nice, too!)  Sadly, the cost of shipping puts them out of my range.

Which magazines do you find worth subscribing to?

Here are the cards I’ve finished so far.

Anyhow, today it’s birthday cards, then I have a special anniversary card to make, and then it’s back to some polymer clay projects.  There’s also a wedding outfit to finish, and a quilt to repair… it’s good to be busy.

Hope you are having a creative week!

Oh, and are you wondering why I posted a photo of my messy desk?  That’s cuz it’s What’s on Your Workdesk Wednesday.  Have fun checking out the creative desks/messes of folks from all over the globe.

  1. Hey Sandy,

Oh, I do love your girly girl cards! Man cards can be so difficult. Hmm, I did have a subscription to Cloth, Paper, Scissors but I let it expire. I seem to go in spurts.

Thank you for visiting me already! I do love when we (in the US) can get a jump on visiting posts on Tuesday evenings.

    1. Thanks for stopping by, Kay. I usually check CPS out of the library because there never is enough in any one issue for me to justify buying it. They do have some cool and funky ideas, though.

  2. Lovely busy desk there, Sandy! Nice cards too. I don’t subscribe to any magazines because a) they usually only have a few bits in that I want, and b) get most of my inspiration from stuff online! I also like to save stuff I want to refer back to, and if it’s in magazine form, that means scanning it which is an extra thing to do.

    Happy WOYWW,

  3. Squee! I know some little girls who would go nuts over those cards! I’ll get some for them when I know they won’t be promptly destroyed. 😛

  4. That looks to be one busy busy desk you have there. Love those pretty cards you show us.
Sorry I am late – hopefully better late than never.
    Hugs, Neet #71 xx
